Safety First
Safety Checklist & Hire Waiver
Everything the responsible adult needs to know before, during and after your hire — plus the full hire agreement you sign online with your booking.
Client safety checklist
Print this or share it with whoever is supervising on the day. Our crew walks through it with you at setup.
Before we arrive
A few minutes of prep keeps setup quick and safe.
- Clear the setup area of furniture, toys, stones, branches and pet mess.
- Check the ground is level, and note any slope, hard surface or indoor setup when you book.
- Make sure gates and access paths are at least 90cm wide and unlocked.
- Have a working outdoor-rated outlet within 25m, or arrange a generator with us.
- Keep pets secured away from the unit for the whole hire.
- Check for overhead wires, low branches and washing lines above the site.
At setup
Walk the unit with our crew before we leave.
- Take the safety briefing from our crew and ask anything you're unsure about.
- Confirm who the responsible supervising adult (18+) will be at all times.
- Check anchor stakes or ballast weights are in place and not a trip hazard.
- Note where the blower and its cord run, and keep the area around them clear.
- Agree the maximum number of users and the age/height limits for the unit.
During the party
The supervising adult stays with the unit while it is in use.
- Adult supervision at all times — never leave children on the unit unattended.
- Shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges and anything sharp off before bouncing.
- No food, drink, gum, silly string, face paint, glitter or pets on the unit.
- Group users by size — big and small must not bounce together.
- No flips, rough play, climbing walls or hanging from netting.
- Keep the entrance and exit clear at all times.
- Never switch the blower off or unplug it while anyone is on the unit.
Stop and evacuate if
These are non-negotiable shutdown triggers.
- The blower stops, trips, overheats or the unit starts to deflate.
- Wind is sustained or gusting above 24mph / 38kph.
- There is thunder, lightning, hail or heavy rain.
- You spot a tear, exposed seam, loose anchor or damaged netting.
- Anyone is injured, unwell or behaving unsafely.
- Then call us right away on WhatsApp 905-921-2274.
At collection
Help us turn the unit around clean and ready.
- Clear everyone off the unit and remove any items left inside.
- Report any damage, stain or fault honestly — repairs cost less than hidden problems.
- Keep the access route clear for our crew and equipment.
- Leave the blower and cords where our crew placed them.
Online hire waiver & conduct agreement
This is the full agreement the hirer signs online. It sets out prohibited conduct and exactly what happens — and what it costs — if the rules are broken. Version v1.
Supervision
- A responsible adult (18+) must supervise the inflatable at all times while it is in use.
- No somersaults, rough play, climbing on walls or hanging from netting.
- Users must be within the age and capacity limits listed for the unit.
Safety rules
- No shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges or sharp objects on the inflatable.
- No food, drink, chewing gum, silly string, face paint or pets on or near the unit.
- Users of very different sizes must not bounce at the same time.
- The unit must be evacuated immediately if the blower stops or wind rises above 24mph.
Site and power
- The hirer provides a clear, level site free of debris, animal mess and overhead obstructions, plus safe access for delivery.
- A working mains socket within 25m is required, or a generator agreed in advance.
- The blower must remain switched on for the entire hire period.
Prohibited conduct
- No person under the influence of alcohol, cannabis or any other drug may enter or supervise the inflatable.
- No flips, wrestling, tackling, pile-ons, running dives, or deliberate collisions between users.
- No climbing, sitting or standing on walls, roofs, netting, anchor points, ropes or the blower.
- No sitting, lying or blocking the entrance step, exit ramp or safety mats.
- No sharp, hard or projectile items on the unit: toys, balls not supplied by us, water guns, sparklers, fireworks or confetti cannons.
- No open flame, BBQ, heater, fire pit, smoking or vaping within 5 metres of the unit or the blower.
- No water, hoses, soap, oil, sand, glitter, slime or paint on the inflatable unless it is a water unit hired for that purpose.
- No moving, deflating, re-siting, re-anchoring, unplugging or altering the unit, blower, stakes, ballast or cabling once we have set it up.
- No use of the unit outside the agreed hire hours, in the dark without adequate lighting, or after we have advised it be shut down.
- No connecting the blower to an unsafe supply, daisy-chained cords or an overloaded circuit.
Consequences of poor conduct
- Our crew or the supervising adult must stop use immediately if any rule above is broken, and may end the hire early on safety grounds with no refund.
- Rule breaches that cause injury are the responsibility of the hirer and the supervising adult, not ITNJ Entertainment.
- Damage from misuse (tears, punctures, seam or netting damage, blower damage, staining from food, paint, silly string or pets) is charged to the hirer at repair cost, plus a cleaning fee where applicable, plus lost hire income for any dates the unit is out of service.
- Lost, stolen or unreturned equipment — including blowers, extension cords, stakes, ballast weights, mats and pegs — is charged at full replacement cost.
- Any repair, cleaning or replacement charge is invoiced after inspection, with photographs, and is payable within 14 days.
- We may refuse or cancel future hires for customers who repeatedly breach these rules.
Weather and shutdown
- Use must stop and the unit must be evacuated in high wind (sustained or gusting above 24mph / 38kph), thunder, lightning, hail or heavy rain.
- Once evacuated, leave the blower running unless instructed otherwise and contact us straight away.
- In severe weather we may cancel on safety grounds; deposits are transferred to a new date.
Liability and damage
- From delivery until collection the hirer is responsible for the equipment and for everyone using it.
- The hirer is liable for loss or damage caused by misuse, negligence or failure to follow these rules.
- ITNJ Entertainment accepts no liability for injury caused by misuse, unsafe conduct or lack of supervision.
- By signing, the hirer confirms they have read the safety checklist, will brief every supervising adult, and accept these terms on behalf of all users at the event.
